Marilyn J. Kersey

Marilyn J. Kersey, 80, of Pinellas Park , Fla., formerly of Lebanon, beloved daughter of Elmon Earl and Goldi Walker, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013.

Marilyn, a 1951 graduate of Lebanon High School, was human resources director at All Children’s and St. Anthony’s Hospitals in St. Petersburg, Fla. She also managed the St. Anthony’s Hospital Professional Office Building, and upon her retirement from there, she owned and managed The Rose Garden dress shop in Dunedin, Fla. As a human resources director, she received many awards and accolades from various professional organizations. She worked tirelessly in service to her employers and employees. She was a well-respected professional.

She is survived by her husband, Don of Pinellas Park; sons, Doug of Pinellas Park, Doyle of Thornton, Colo., and “Dusty” of St. Petersburg, Fla.; daughter, Suzi Baxter of St Petersburg; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, in the clubhouse at the Golden Gate Mobile Home Park, 8201 40th St. N., Pinellas Park, Fla.
