Harriett E. (Morrison) Shelley, 82, of Lebanon, died Saturday, March 28, 2008, at Witham Hospital.

She was born Aug. 11, 1925, in Colfax, Ind., to Joseph S. Morrison and Florence Jenkins, both deceased.

She married Russell Shelley in Lebanon in 1954, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1997.

She worked for Thrifty Cab in Lebanon for five years as a dispatcher and then was a grill cook for the Chief Inn on Indiana 52 and Indiana 47 for some time.

Her hobbies were crossword puzzles and playing dice.

Survivors include four daughters, Becky Nichols, Alice Hale and Patty Slone, all of Lebanon, and Tammy Rutledge of Kingman, Ind.; one sister, Patricia Evans, Bainbridge, Ind., nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Norman, Haven and Morrison, and a sister, Emily Buckland, are deceased.

There are no services and cremation will follow.

Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, 223 N. Meridian St., Lebanon, is handling arrangements.
