Mr. William “Bill” Lancaster, 70, of Indianapolis, formerly of Lebanon, died Friday, July 27, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Indianapolis.
Mr. Lancaster was born July 25, 1942, to Chester and Mary (Layton) Lancaster. Both parents are now deceased. He graduated from Dover High School in 1960.
He married Katherine Doyle in 1963. They were divorced in 1976.
Mr. Lancaster worked for Link Bolt in Indianapolis for a number of years, retiring in 1993. He then worked for the City of Lebanon as a meter reader, and worked for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a number of years.
Survivors include his brother, Richard Lancaster of Lebanon; and companion, Kelly Phillips of Indianapolis.
Private graveside rites will take place at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
