Joyce A. Reed Noland

Mrs. Joyce A. Reed Noland, 78, of Indianapolis, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at her residence.  

Mrs. Noland was born July 12, 1934, in Jefferson Township in Boone County, a daughter of James F. and Martha (Rose) Reed. Both parents are deceased. She was married to Charles E. Noland. He died Dec. 20, 1975.

Mrs. Noland graduated from Dover High School in 1952. She worked for Golden Rule in Crawfordsville, Lazarus at Lafayette Square, and owned her own cleaning company. She was a member of the Pleasant View Church and very active in the Speedway Moose Lodge No. 500 until her illness prevented her from participating. She was also an avid fan of the Colts, Pacers, IU and the Indianapolis 500 Race.

Survivors include her children: Steve Noland of Indianapolis and Ron (Sandy) Noland of Frankfort and Julie (Bob) Lehman of Sarasota, Fla., and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A brother, Delos Reed, preceded her in death.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, Feb. 10, for visitation from 2 until 6 p.m. with services to be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Mrs. Noland will be laid to rest at Dover Cemetery in Dover.
