— Mrs. Juanita Burch, 97, of Washington, Ind., died Aug. 18, 2010, at Eastgate Nursing Center, Washington.
Mrs. Burch was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Daviess County. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Della (Miller) Greenwood. She graduated from Epson High School in 1932.
She married Earl F. Burch on Sept. 12, 1932 in Paoli; he passed away in 1985.
Mrs. Burch was a homemaker and worked in farming.
She played piano for the school chorus and played for church and many funerals.
Mrs. Burch was a member of Cornetsville United Methodist Church and New Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Missionary Group.
Survivors include daughter, Virginia (Paul) Hart of Thorntown; four grandchildren, Paul E. Hart of Montgomery, Rene (DeAnna) Hart of Whitestown, Phyllis Hart of Washington and Burch Harper of Los Gatos, Calif.; son-in-law, Glenn Harper of the state of Washington; two great-grandchildren, Gwen Hart and Kristen (Tobias) Liden, all of Greenwood; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Levi Lewis of Brownsburg and Sara (Robert) Hoopingarner of Lebanon; one great-great-grandchild, Nora Liden of Greenwood; and three sisters, Thelma Rader of Washington, Laura Gainey of Odon and Halcie Holcomb of Peru.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Vonda Harper; one grandson, Mark Harper; two sisters, Joyce Wilson and Louise Beck; and two brothers, Dale Greenwood and Henry Greenwood.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Poindexter-Hall & McClure Funeral Homes, Washington Chapel, 210 NE 5th St., Washington. Services are 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Plainville Cemetery in Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or to the church.
