Luella Ford, of Brownsburg, formerly of Otterbein, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at home. She was 84.
Born April 11, 1925, in Warren County, she was the daughter of Arty and Minnie (Gaskill) Hurst.
She married Everett Ford, June 8, 1943, in Attica; he died Dec. 3, 1985.
She was a 1943 graduate of Pine Village High School. She was a homemaker.
She was a member and had previously served as president and secretary of Armstrong United Methodist Women. She had also volunteered at the Otterbein Public Library. She enjoyed spending time with her Family, Reading, Helping others and was a novice writer.
Survivors include son Steve Ford (wife Gail), Lebanon; daughter Linda Baber, Brownsburg; four grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; two great-grandson; three step-great-grandchildren
She also was preceded in death by brothers Delbert, Leonard and Denzil Hurst and sisters Beulah West, Mildred Foster, Marie Darding and Mable Brown
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Armstrong United Methodist Church. Services are planned for 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Armstrong United Methodist Church; the Rev. Gene Ansell officiating. Burial will follow at Armstrong Chapel Cemetery, Otterbein.
