Mary G. Carson, 88, of Tipton, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Millers Merry Manor.
She was born Feb. 15, 1921, in Madison County, to Ralph Leroy and Ola Dail (Shell) Perry.
In 1938 she married Charles Caylor; he died in 1946. She then married Wayne Carson in January 1949 and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2009.
She worked as a beautician.
She was a member of the Kempton United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Rosary Chapter 66 in Tipton.
Mary is survived by three sons, James Caylor and wife, Linda, of Lebanon, Dale Caylor and wife, Geri, of Avoca, Mich., and Larry Caylor of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Marla Featherstone and husband, Frosty, of Tipton, and Darlyn Lou Hughes and husband, Delaney, of Bradenton, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Valerie (Kevin) Stapleton, Doug (Michelle) Caylor, Josh (Lori) Featherstone, Rob (Christine) Featherstone, Brett (Terri) Curnutt, Jill (Kenny) Howerton, Julie (Gary) Grinstead and Scott (Andrea) Curnutt; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, 216 W. Jefferson St., Tipton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Melissa Grishaw officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.
