Mr. Robert Cleo Hartsock, 88, of Lebanon, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Hickory Creek at Lebanon.
A native of Hendricks County, Mr. Hartsock was born on June 2, 1921, the son of the late Luther Lawrence and Bertha E. (Land) Hartsock.
He married Anna Mae Highland on July 11, 1940, in Lebanon. Mrs. Hartsock survives.
Mr. Hartsock was an employee of Commercial Filters Corporation in Lebanon for 18 1/2 years, before retiring in 1983. He had previously been self-employed as a founding partner, along with his brother-in-law Eugene Highland, of H & H Automotive. He later operated C & E Garage.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who took great pride in his family and their activities. He was a devoted member of his church and had an interest in golfing, fishing and stained glass.
Mr. Hartsock was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Hartsock of Lebanon; three children, Mikki Randolph of Indianapolis, Lawrence H. “Larry” Hartsock and wife, Kathy, of Brownsburg, and Rodney L. Hartsock and fiancée, Nancy F. Young, of Boerne, Texas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and brother, William Lee Jr. and wife, Marcia, of Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Suits.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Myers Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. John Wimmer and Chaplain David Clayton officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
