Mary Louise Bourne

Mrs. Mary Louise Bourne, 81, of Lebanon, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon.

Mrs. Bourne was born June 16, 1931, in Boone County. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Vance and Lula Ellen (Helfer) Wallace. She graduated from Sugar Creek Public School in Clinton County.

She married Harry Endres on June 21, 1949, in Lebanon. Mr. Endres passed away in 1977. On Dec. 9, 1983, she married Bruce Bourne; he survives.

She worked in the office of JCPenney in Lebanon, until the store closed in 1990. She then worked part time for the State Bank of Lizton in Lebanon, retiring in 1998.

Mrs. Bourne enjoyed her family, crocheting, reading, gardening and playing cards.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce R. Bourne of Lebanon; two children, Edwin (Susan) Endres of Lebanon and Linda (Denny) Duke of Avon; two grandsons, Steven (Tami) Endres and Kyle Endres, both of Lebanon; and three stepgrandsons, eight stepgreat-grandchildren and one stepgreat-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Clark Wallace, Lloyd Wallace, Marion Wallace and Earl Wallace; and two sisters, Ruth Anna Mead and Reitha Reynolds.

Graveside services are to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 E. Washington St., Lebanon, with the Rev. Timothy Kroeger officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
