Jacklyn F. “Jackie” Runyan

Jacklyn F. “Jackie” Runyan, 71, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Jackie was born in Ohio on June 24, 1941, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Nora (Childers) Reed.

She graduated from Washington High School in Indianapolis and then started working as an EKG tech at the old Witham Hospital. She also worked as an echo technician at Methodist Hospital, The Care Group and then Crawfordsville Hospital until her retirement in 2005. Jackie married Otis Runyan on June 27, 1959, they later divorced and he survives. She was engaged to Ron Clayton, he preceded her in death May of 2001.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie (Kevin) Craig of Whitestown; brother, Joe (Janey) Reed of Mooresville; nieces, Angel (Dennis) Lippard of Mooresville and Missy Reed of Mooresville; two great-nephews, David and Hunter; and her beloved granddoggers, Shelby and Sophie. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, Nov. 24, from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Curt Alexander officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Online condolences may be made at www.strawmyerdrury.com.
