Mrs. Marilyn A. Nesbitt, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Center-Parkwood in Lebanon.
Mrs. Nesbitt was born near Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 16, 1930, to the now late Ora and Anna Rhoda (Rice) Lindsey. She was reared and educated in Ohio, where she graduated from Hamersville High School in 1948.
She married James Eugene Nesbitt on Jan. 3, 1960, in Pittsboro. Mr. Nesbitt died Jan. 4, 1991.
Mrs. Nesbitt worked in the business office at Interchemical in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was a homemaker while raising her sons. After they graduated from high school, she worked for 10 years as a seamstress for Aero Drapery in Westfield. She retired in 1983.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, attending the theater, and reading historical and biographical novels.
Mrs. Nesbitt was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Lebanon, and a longtime member of Lebanon TOPS Club.
Survivors include her son, Ken S. Myers of Lebanon; grandchild, Chris R. Myers of Lebanon; great-grandchild, Aubrey Myers of Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Ruth Charles Myers of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert C. Myers, and one brother, Gerald Lindsey.
Visitation is 12 to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Jim Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
