Ray Hines

— A memorial service for Ray Hines will be held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with The Reverend J. Brian Ponder officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ray Hines, age 77, of Meridian, Miss., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at his residence. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the U.A.W., and Good Sam Trailblazers Camping Club. He was a handy man who loved to fix things around his yard and home and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Judith Findlay Hines of Meridian; sons, Mark Edward Hines and wife, Elizabeth, of Moorestown, N.J., and Jeffrey Lee Hines and long-time partner, Karen Shelton. of Garland, Texas; daughter, Cheri Hines Keller and husband, Jeff, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Alexander Findlay Hines of Moorestown, N.J., Katherine Barbara Hines of Moorestown, N.J.; Clint Joseph Keller of Lebanon, and Kurt Michael Keller of Lebanon; a brother, Robert Hines of Shawnee, Kan.; sisters, Cecile Corbin of Naples, Fla., Jean Scott of Xenia, Ohio, Verna Gibson of Pennington Gap, Va., and Vivian Garrett of Louisville, Ky., and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by seven siblings.

The family request memorials be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 1116 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
