Mrs. Josephine Janice Clements, 91, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
Mrs. Clements was born April 29, 1921, in Boone County, south of Lebanon. She was the daughter of the now late William Raymond and Mary Gladas (Harlan) Lowe.
A lifelong resident of Boone County, Mrs. Clements was a graduate of Dover High School in 1939. Following high school, she worked at the Boss Glove Factory in Lebanon for several years.
She married Cletus Francis Clements on Oct. 7, 1941, in Liberty, Ky. Mr. Clements died on Feb. 8, 1981.
For 10 years, Mrs. Clements was employed at the Stewart Warner Corporation in Lebanon. The next eight years, she and Mr. Clements spent operating their own milk route. She then assisted her husband for a number of years, handling the office work for his carpentry business.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She and Mr. Clements enjoyed travel and camping outings, often including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in those family events. She was very proud of her family, and was especially fond of attending those events and the activities of her great grandchildren.
Mrs. Clements was a member of Dover Christian Church.
Survivors include two children, Janet (William) Mustin of Lebanon and Gene (Donna) Clements of Palm Coast, Fla.; two sisters, Mildred Boyland of Mechanicsburg and Joan (John) Copeland of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Mike (Marcia) Mustin of Lebanon, Pat (Jan) Mustin of Brownsburg, Jeff (Debbie) Clements of Danville and Shawn Clements of Tipton; eight great-grandchildren, Courtney (Kyle) Henry of Advance, Brad Mustin of Indianapolis, Cayla Mustin and Tyler (Lorinda) Clements, all of Lebanon, Tayler (Daniel) Demaree of Jamestown, Kim Mustin and Becky Mustin, both of Brownsburg, and Josh (Laura) Redman of Thorntown; and five great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob Lowe, Jim Lowe and Bill Lowe.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Pastor David Wright officiating. Interment will be at the Pleasant View cemetery west of Lebanon.
