Mary June Downing, 88, of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday Nov, 20, 2012.
Mrs. Downing was a proud Boilermaker and a graduate of Purdue University majoring in biology.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Noel L. Downing. She is survived by sons, James S. Downing and wife Susan, and David H. Downing and wife Deborah; daughter, Robin E. Smith and husband Dan; grandchildren, Adam H. Downing, Sarah Mahler and husband Scott, Jennifer N. Downing, Marcy D. Bearden, Scott James Downing, Benjamin N. Hougland and wife Brandi, Katherine D. Gibson and husband Dan, and great-grandchildren, Billy and Nathan Day, Jude and Dale Bearden, Samuel Gibson, Madison and Hailey Hougland.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday Nov. 26, 2012, at Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel, with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
