Teresa Dobbins

Teresa Dobbins, age 51, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at her residence. She was born in Lebanon, on April 30, 1961, the daughter of Larry Joe and Sandy Rose (Whaley) Bennett.

A native of Lebanon, Teresa graduated from Lebanon High School in 1979.  She received a Medical Assistant Certificate from the Professional Career Institute in Indianapolis in 1989.

She had previously had been married to Jerry Tyree, Bill Brashears and Mark Dobbins, each ending in divorce.

For several years, Teresa worked at Witham Memorial Hospital for several doctor’s offices as a medical assistant. She also worked at the Lebanon Sports and Fitness Center and most recently, at the Holiday Inn Express.

She was a dedicated daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include parents Larry and Sandy Bennett of Lebanon; two daughters Sarah A. Grubbs and husband, Zac of Westfield, and Kelcey J. Dobbins of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Ava Grubbs and Vincent Grubbs; one sister Kim Dickinson and husband, Chris of Lebanon; and one brother, Rick Bennett and wife, Tina of Lebanon.

Teresa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Riley and Vivian Bennett.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. A private family visitation was held at the funeral home. No funeral services are planned.
