Gertrude L. Greene Fordice

Thorntown

1920-2010

Gertrude L. Greene Fordice, 89, of Thorntown, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010.

Her daughter, Beverly G. (Larry) Parker;  three grandchildren, Stephanie Parker of Dorsey, Ill., Madelyn (Scott) Russell of Eugene, Ore., and Heather (Kenny) Wolford of Bend, Ore.; one great-grandchild, Kendrick Parker Russell; and a brother, Max (Norma) Seward, survive her.

Gertrude was born in Indianapolis on Nov. 28, 1920, the daughter of the late Percy and Elsie Hager Seward.

She worked as a bookkeeper with Dindiley Western Pharmaceutical Co. and was a member of Thorntown United Methodist Church. 

A private graveside service will be held for Gertrude.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Thorntown United Methodist Church, 201 N. Market St., Thorntown, IN 46071.

Arrangements are being made by Crown Hill Funeral Home.
